The club has been taken over by =IBinsanity and his team.

As it stands, the club will now be a directory of resource suppliers, a stockpile of tutorials and info for the resource community, and a checkpoint for dA's resource community and their related staff.

The remainder of this journal will detail what to expect.




This will be the unofficial resource directory for dA - complete with profiles of each club member, and a sample of their work being applied to art.

This is the part of the community where I will need your help! Send in a note by clicking the link at the right saying "Join" with the following:

• Your dA username[s]
• Your areas of focus in resources provided at each username
• A brief biography
• Your history on dA
• The thumb to be used as your group ID - either send in a slightly-manipulated piece of your art, or, better yet, send in a thumb of your stock and let the group's staff have some fun making it depict you!

Start sending them in!




We'll be faving every conceivable tutorial that might help you with stock creation, distribution, and use! So be sure to check them every now and then, you never know what gems we might find!




Every week, look forward to seeing a news article featuring an interview with a dA staff member somehow related to prints or a peculiarly active member of the stock community of dA. And don't just expect your everyday GDs and the like - I plan on interviewing staff from literally each department. Ever wonder what the folks in prints have to say about selling your stock images? Or what really peeves the copyright and etiquette guys about stock users? Hell, ever wonder which problems Help Desk gets spammed with in relation to stock? It'll all be revealed in time. If you'd like to suggest a question for a specific staffer or for a department, note the club with "Interview Question" in the title.




Every other week, expect to see a news article focusing on a specific subcategory within the stock gallery - usually one which gets less attention, less submissions, or just generally is less notorious! If you'd like to suggest a category that needs more lovin's, send a note with the title "News Theme Suggestion" to the club. Of course, if your suggestion isn't used right away, don't worry - we'll get to it!




*stock-artists may not run many of its own contests, but we'll definitely be supporting all contests involving resources. If you know of a contest, if you're running a contest, or if you have a super-good idea for a contest, note us with your ideas - even if we can't run the contest at the time, we might be able to find you some sponsors, and of course we'll make damn sure you get entries ad nauseum! Any contest info will be added to the journal as the contest arises, so be sure to keep your eyes open!




Currently, there are several groups from whom we're awaiting replies regarding affiliations. If you think your group would make a good affiliate for *stock-artists, drop us a note with "Affiliation" in the title.




We'll be periodically recommending DDs as a group, if you have a piece you think is really worthy, drop us a note with "DD" in the title.




As it stands, we're not in need of any more staff - with =IBinsanity as manager, and `shelldevil and =Cat-in-the-Stock as admins, we should be able to keep things under control - for now.

If you would like to be considered for staff, just drop a note with a title having something to do with "Staff Application". Whenever we need more help, we'll be pulling from applications first, and then selecting and forcing at gunpoint from the community second. D:




While our official member list will be our list of watchers, the de facto list of dA's resource users will be our main gallery. So, when you watch us, it would be REALLY appreciated if you could drop us a note with the info called for in the first section.

To be a member, simply watch us - and if you can, drop us the note. You don't need to add our name or icon to anything crazy, just show us that you want to be part of dA's resource community.




This group is, more than anything else, a meeting point for dA staff and stockers. So, if you have ANY issues, note us, or find our people on dAmn in #resources and #ARstock.

The group isn't dead, I swear! I just got called away by that dreaded thing called REAL LIFE for six weeks - so forgive me, and I am back and getting back into the swing of things. Keep your eyes open, and expect nothing short of greatness!
